How long have you worked for the R&A?

2 ½ years

What is your job role at the Open and can you give a little detail into what you do.

I work in the Marketing team as Marketing Manager at The R&A and all my time and attention is spent working with my team on the R&A Professional Championships, The Open and The Women’s British Open. As a team we work on driving demand for Tickets and Hospitality for the Championships, as well as E-Commerce sales on TheOpen.com/Shop, marketing activity and support for our Patrons, Partners and Licensees. In addition to this, we lead on growing our digital membership The One Club and ensuring that we engage this 200,000 + audience year round and build their fandom and love for The Open.

If you could create the ultimate golfer, who would you pick:

Character of – Shane Lowry, humble and full of character

Which is your favourite golf course for hosting The Open?

I loved Portrush last year, the country really embraced the return of The Open for the first time in 70 years, but to be honest having been brought up in Fife, there is something special about St Andrews and I can’t wait for 2022.

Which is your favourite golf course to play?

I am an irregular and poor golfer, but I love playing Crail Golf Course or Kinghorn, both courses are by the sea and played on links courses, with amazing views

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

It’s not that interesting, but I have always worked across sport for a publisher, a sports organisation and a now governing body. Previously in London and Southampton… strangely I have ended up back working within 15 mins of where I went to High School.

What’s your food related guilty pleasure?

I have recently (over two years now) become a vegetarian, which has meant my love for Carbs has skyrocketed. I am a huge Italian food fan and my fiancé and I usually split a Pizza and Pasta when at an Italian restaurant… needless to say I usually get more than half.

What is the first drink you order in the bar after a long week?

First drink is usually a regular bottle of beer before moving onto Dark or Spiced Rum with plenty of lime, ice and Apple Juice or Ginger Beer.
