10 FEB 2012 – THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF FLYERS

As part of the McLaren Group; our DNA tells us to push the boundaries and excel beyond our own benchmarks.  Today is one of those days; another benchmark broken as we delivered to 100+ business jets across our locations; not only a crazy day in the kitchen but a huge logistical achievement planning and executing the 100+ timed deliveries of world class catering to 18 locations. Onwards and upwards!


7 FEB 2012 – MP4-27 TAKES TO THE TRACK

Its day 1 of the 2012 Vodafone McLaren Mercedes test programme in Jerez.  Jacks, Ian and the team in Spain are literally cooking up treats for the team to ensure they are perfectly looked after and can make the most of limited testing of the brand new MP4-27.

JAN 2012 – DESIGN WEEK AT THE DESIGN CENTRE CHELSEA HARBOUR

Design Week dates have been announced as: Sunday 11th March – Friday 16th March. London Design Week 2012 is an international event that delivers design diversity. With over 500 prestigious brands at 91 Design Centre showrooms as well as outside participants in King’s Road, Chelsea, it’s where designers, architects, media and tastemakers flock to see the new collections.  Absolute Taste will again welcome visitors and guests to the Tatler Restaurant, Design Cafe and Dome Cafe by Absolute Taste. JAN 2012 -BURGHLEY HOUSE AND THE ORANGERY OPEN FOR 2012

The Orangery at Burghley House is now re-open having closed for Christmas and New Year.  Opening times until 18th March are Wednesday – Sunday 10:00 am – 4:00pm, and then from 19th March Monday-Sunday 10:00am – 5:00pm.  We are delighted with the success of the restaurant since launching in 2011 and look forward to welcoming you soon.  www.burghley.co.uk

DEC 2011 - ABSOLUTE TASTE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR 2011 

2011 has been incredibly busy, the end of the year has been no exception and it’s not over yet. Our events have certainly been festive; we’ve decorated venues from floor to ceiling, stuffed the turkeys, piled up the mince pies and mulled the wine.  We already have a few Inflight Christmas Day orders in for the jets in London and Geneva and we’ll keep on delivering right through to the New Year.  Our venues and restaurants are still busy; with the restaurant at Harvey Nichols having one of its busiest weekends to date last week, and has seemingly become a bit of celeb hangout!

We would like to wish all of our clients, customers and colleagues a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year: and we can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring.

NOV 2011 – WHOS COOKING DINNER LINE UP ANNOUNCED

The line-up for next year’s Who’s Cooking Dinner charity event to help raise money for the cure of leukaemia and other blood cancers has been announced, featuring 20 of London’s top chefs with 15 Michelin stars between them.

Participants include multi-Michelin-starred chefs Clare Smyth from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Claude Bosi from Hibiscus, Marcus Wareing from the Berkeley, and Phil Howard from the Square, as well as Chris and Jeff Galvin of Galvin Restaurants, Jason Atherton of Pollen Street Social and Pierre Koffmann of Koffmann’s.

OCT 2011 – ABSOLUTE TASTE AT THE INAUGURAL GRAND PRIX OF INDIA, NEW DELHI 

Wednesday 26 October 2011. For the very first time we will be looking after the team and guests of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 team at the Grand Prix of India.  The Absolute Taste F1 hospitality team are embracing the challenges of catering in New Delhi, excited by the vibrant commodities the weekends menus are full of local cuisine. SEPT 2011 – ABSOLUTE TASTE OFFICIAL CATERER AMERICAS CUP WORLD CLASS SERIES, PLYMOUTH  

Absolute Taste are thrilled to have been appointed as the official caterer for the Americas Cup World Class Series in Plymouth, Sept 2011.  Absolute Taste will provide hospitality for the officials and sponsors in a private two storey temporary structure at Millbay, Plymouth, throughout the week and offer corporate hospitality to local business in association with Americas Cup. AUGUST 2011 – END OF BUSY SUMMER OF EVENTS FOR ABSOLUTE TASTE  

It’s been another busy summer for Absolute Taste.  Thank you to all of our clients who have taken us around the country and world.  At the Monaco GP this year we served 2500 meals across the weekend to events clients on boats and in corporate hospitality suites and apartments across the municipality.  Salon Prive was a fabulous and successful event at Syon Park and throughout the summer we have catered for Jaguar Land Rover at Battersea Powerstation, in Birmingham, and around Europe at car shows and dealer conferences.  


JULY 2011 – EXCLUSIVELY FARNBOROUGH NOW OPEN  

We are delighted to announce that we are now able to supply to your last minute requirements direct from our kitchens in Farnborough.  Our “Exclusively Farnborough” menu offers a short menu of favourites for quick turn around and regular clients flying from Farnborough Airport.  


JANUARY 2011 – THE ORANGERY AT BURGHLEY HOUSE NOW OPEN  

Absolute Taste has opened its doors to the visitors and guests of Burghley House.  We will serve our home-made food using great local produce in The Orangery Restaurant and the Garden Cafe, Burghley House is one of the country’s most beautiful events venues and we are privileged to be to be awarded sole caterer status.  


ABSOLUTE TASTE AT HARVEY NICHOLS FIFTH FLOOR, LONDON NOW OPEN  

The chic, new 32 seat restaurant at the world renowned Harvey Nichols is open 7 days a week, serving the best of seasonal British produce. The breakfast menu highlights include homemade muffins, eggs Benedict and a tasty bacon and sausage sandwich. Our lunch and dinner menu features contemporary salads of beautiful Ragstone cheese with beetroot carpaccio and crispy duck salad along with yummy square pizzas, rice paper rolls and delicious desserts.  


SEPTEMBER 2010 – ABSOLUTE TASTE GENEVA NOW OPEN  

We are delighted to announce that in October 2010 we opened in Geneva. Located within the Airport district we are now able to supply our Private Jet catering service to your aircraft at Geneva Airport. We have recruited a fabulous dedicated kitchen and operations team who have all trained at HQ in London to ensure consistency in excellence. Our chefs are given freedom to embrace good local produce, however we insist that our brownie recipe remains exactly the same!  


MARCH 2010 – MERCURY AWARD FOR ABSOLUTE TASTE PRIVATE JET CATERING   

Last week in Cologne, Squairmeal by Absolute Taste won a prestigious Mercury award from the ITCA for “innovative cabin services”. The International Travel Catering Association has been established for thirty years and the highly prized Mercury Awards acknowledges the best and most pro-active companies in travel catering worldwide. Only seven Mercury Awards were presented throughout the evening and Squairmeal faced tough competition against leading international companies in this specialised category.
